We are really proud of our staff at Windmill Day Nursery, they work well as a team, supporting each other with the day to day running of the nursery but also in completing training. All staff abide by Ofsted requirements in respect of enhanced disclosure checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service and they have the relevant qualifications for their posts. Our aim is always that all staff will hold an up-to-date certificate in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene training and Child Protection training.
Three of our staff hold a Level 6, degree qualification in childcare and another member of staff is currently studying for their Foundation degree, so continued professional development of the staff is encouraged and supported by the nursery.
Whole-team training events have been organised for staff in Promoting Positive Behaviour and Marvellous Maths. Other courses recently attended include: –
- Sustained Shared Thinking
- Observation, Assessment and Next Steps
- Visual Supports
